Your job is what you do, not where you do it

What conclusions did you come to after suddenly having to work from home during the pandemic?

Was it easy or more difficult than expected?

Do you want to work from home forever or are you longing to get back to the office?

Or, did it occur to you how your job is really about what you do?

Where it’s done for many roles has lesser importance if you don’t need to physically be at a location to carry out your duties.

Working from home presents some unique challenges with productivity, collaboration & engagement.

But all of these can be overcome.

If where you work doesn’t really matter then there are new possibilities of flexible working, blended engagement models of office/home splits, better work/life integration and so much more.

The lessons learned over the past 3 months provide a great opportunity to reconsider how we go about work.

What we need to do now is ensure we become expert at working from anywhere.

Work models are changing. Make sure you adapt as they do.
